BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday that, in the wake of the December 17 elections, the situation regarding the new parliament was "crystal clear" but that it remained to be seen how the situation after the local polls in Belgrade would turn out.

"Whether the Belgrade authorities will be formed or not depends on how (Serbian Progressive Party officials) (Aleksandar) Sapic and Ana (Brnabic), and I do not know who else, will discuss things with other partners, and on whether others can form a majority, too, because (We, A Voice From The People leader Branimir) Nestorovic got votes, and not a small number of them, in Serbia - 170,000, if I am not mistaken. So, that is highly respectable, and we will see how things with Belgrade will go," Vucic said in response to questions from reporters.

He said the situation when it comes to the national parliament was "crystal clear."

"I believe we can be close to having a two-thirds majority there. We will see. It depends on various discussions, but we need a two-thirds majority just to demonstrate support for all these projects, for Serbia's progress and for the way we can do this, and not to get more power than we are entitled to under the Constitution," Vucic said.
