Brnabic meets with Ghana's FM

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with Ghanaian FM Shirley Ayorkor Botchway in Belgrade on Friday.

Noting that 2024 marked 65 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between their countries, the parties stressed the significance of strengthening further the bilateral cooperation in politics, diplomacy and other areas of mutual interest.

Brnabic said she hoped the cooperation would be continued in the future towards achieving common objectives and interests, and both parties agreed their meeting represented a continuation of the friendship between the two peoples.

Brnabic and Ayorkor Botchway highlighted the significant potentials for advancement of bilateral economic cooperation, especially in agriculture, a sector in which Serbia has rich experience, the Serbian parliament said in a statement.

They also said cooperation as part of specialised EXPO 2027, to be hosted by Serbia, was a brilliant platform for promoting the country and its people and represented a good way of attracting tourists and investors.

Ayorkor Botchway noted the significance of bilateral cooperation in the context of current international challenges and changes and said she was pleased with the development of the relations with Serbia to date, expressing Ghana's readiness to further advance the cooperation.
