Mladenovac shooter temporarily transferred to prison hospital

SMEDEREVO - Following an order by the Smederevo high public prosecutor's office, a 21-year old man suspected of killing eight and wounding 12 people in a shooting spree in the territory of the Smederevo and Mladenovac municipalities on May 4 was temporarily transferred to a special prison hospital on Tuesday.

A source at the prosecutor's office confirmed to Tanjug that the suspect, identified as Uros B, would undergo psychiatric expertise by a commission of experts.

He has been in custody since May 6.

In a hearing before prosecutors, the suspect admitted to committing the crime and said he had wanted to scare his victims.

He was arrested in the vicinity of Kragujevac in the morning of May 5.
