US kit manufacturer Capelli becomes new Football Association of Serbia technical sponsor

STARA PAZOVA - US-based kit manufacturer Capelli is the new technical sponsor of the Football Association of Serbia (FSS), the FSS announced on Thursday after a Board of Directors meeting in Stara Pazova near Belgrade.

"After the expiry of the cooperation with Puma, the Football Association received several interesting offers, and the one by a US sports equipment manufacturer, Capelli Sport, was by far the most lucrative one, even multiple times more so compared to Italian brands Macron and Givova and Spain's Kelme," the FSS said in a statement.

"The well-known American brand, which is practically still conquering the European market and whose quality is something our refereeing organisation and TSC are already familiar with, was looking for a partner whose work and results command a good reputation in European and world football," the statement also said.

The FSS said the four-year deal with Capelli was worth 850,000 dollars a year in cash and 800,000 dollars a year in equipment for all national teams.

"That is two and a half times more than the next best offer," it noted.
