BELGRADE - Serbian basketball coach Dejan Milojevic, who died in the US last month aged 46, was buried at Belgrade's New Bezanija Cemetery on Monday.
Milojevic died in Salt Lake City on January 17 after suffering a heart attack before an NBA game between Utah Jazz and his club Golden State Warriors, where he was an assistant coach.
Alongside his family and friends, the funeral was also attended by many figures from the world of sports.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and his entire coaching staff as well as franchise official Zaza Pachulia flew over from the US to pay their last respects.
Prominent basketball figures such as Predrag Danilovic, Zeljko Obradovic, Zeljko Rebraca, Nikola Pekovic, Mike Dunleavy Jr, Vladimir Radmanovic, Darko Milicic, Nemanja Bjelica, Miroslav Nikolic, Igor Rakocevic, Zoran Savic, Milan Gurovic and Dejan Tomasevic were also in attendance, as were Football Association of Serbia Vice President Branislav Nedimovic and former football internationals Miroslav Djukic and Nikola Zigic.
