Value of construction works in Serbia up in Q2 2024

BELGRADE - The value of construction works performed in Serbia in Q2 2024 was up by 14.9 y-o-y at current prices and by 10.2 pct y-o-y at constant prices, the national statistical office RZS said on Friday.

At constant prices, construction of buildings was down by 1.4 pct y-o-y but construction of other structures was up by 16.6 y-o-y.

Y-o-y, the value of construction works at constant prices increased in all regions: the Vojvodina region (by 21.0 pct), the Southern and Western Serbia region (by 7.3 pct) and in the Belgrade region (by 1.0 pct).

The RZS also said 97.6 pct of the total works had been performed in the territory of Serbia, with the remaining 2.4 pct performed at construction sites abroad.

The value of construction works performed by Serbian contractors at home and abroad in Q2 was up by 15.5 pct y-o-y at current prices and by 10.7 pct at constant prices, it also said.
