Serbian Q1 exports up 15.8 pct y-o-y, imports up 0.7 pct y-o-y

BELGRADE - Serbia's external trade volume in Q1 2023 was up by 6.8 pct compared to the same period last year, rising to 16.7 bln euros as exports were up by 15.8 pct y-o-y and imports grew by 0.7 pct y-o-y.

According to a statement from the national statistical office RZS, exports amounted to 7.3 bln euros while imports totalled 9.4 bln euros.

The deficit amounted to 2.1 bln euros - 30.7 pct down compared to the same period last year.

The export-import ratio was 77.6 pct, down from 67.5 pct in the same period of last year.

The Vojvodina region accounted for most of Serbia's exports (32.6 pct), while the Belgrade region had the largest share of the imports (41.7 pct).
