Brnabic: I am using every moment of visit to China to speak with businesspeople

BEIJING - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic, who is visiting China, met with representatives of the country's companies in Beijing on Monday.

She spoke with executives of HBIS Group, the owner of the Smederevo steel mill, and with JD.com about opportunities for promoting Serbian products and tourism potential in the Chinese market.

She said she was using every moment of the visit to China to speak with Chinese businesspeople about securing new investments.

She also visited the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

At a meeting with representatives of the genetics and bioinformatics company BGI, which has a development centre in Belgrade, Brnabic said she supported the cooperation with the firm, which she noted was the focal point of Serbia's BIO4 campus.

BGI is a partner in bioinformatics and genome sequencing that cooperates with Serbian faculties and scientific institutes and also provides scholarships to Serbian students.
