BELGRADE - On the anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil, Serbia joins the people of the US and all nations that suffered the tragic loss of innocent lives on that fatal September 11, 2001, in remembering and honoring the nearly 3,000 victims, Serbian FM Marko Djuric said on Wednesday, the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attack on the US, noting that Serbia was committed to fighting against terrorism.
"Sadly, even 23 years later, we continue to face serious global threats as terrorism remains undefeated. It is high time for the world to unite in the fight against this evil, making it a top national priority for all countries striving for a stable future and international relations founded on peaceful coexistence and cooperation," Djuric wrote in a post on X.
"Serbia remains committed to actively participating in all international counter-terrorism mechanisms and initiatives aimed at ensuring a safer, more peaceful world for future generations," he noted.
