BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic said on Monday evening President Aleksandar Vucic's phone call with US President-elect Donald Trump was a good sign for Serbia.
It is good news for Serbia, Vucevic told Informer TV, noting that Vucic was pleased with the call and that US entrepreneur Elon Musk had also taken part in it.
Some media outlets waited for half a day before they reported that Vucic was one of the first to speak with Trump, Vucevic noted.
"I guess it is a good sign for Serbia. I guess that is something to be proud of and good news," he said.
He said Trump was quite well informed about Serbia and that the phone call was not a protocol conversation, but a discussion about what was to be done in the future.
"We could expect the two officials to meet at the inauguration. Those are big things. You can see who is coming to Belgrade, and then you read the headlines in Zagreb, Sarajevo, a part of Podgorica and Pristina, and you see how irritated they are by it all. As soon as I see that, I know it is a good thing," Vucevic said.
