BELGRADE - Srpska lista deputy leader Igor Simic said on Friday conclusions presented by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic after Thursday's meeting with representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs had resounded well with the Serb population in the province and should be a response to the repression by Albin Kurti's regime and strengthen the Serb community economically.
"The Serb representatives had extremely stern demands based on the actions taken by Albin Kurti's regime and the brutal force used, which is culminating in attempts to kill Serbs in the north of Kosovo-Metohija," Simic told Tanjug.
He said the conclusions demanded respect of a vehicle licence plate agreement, establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities in line with the Brussels Agreement and a withdrawal of so-called Kosovo special forces from the north of Kosovo-Metohija.
He added that Srpska lista would not take part in Pristina's upcoming elections.
"A unanimous decision has been made that Srpska lista will not be taking part in the elections, and I believe no Serb will take part in elections that are supposed to make it possible for Albin Kurti to occupy the north of Kosovo-Metohija," Simic said.
He said the fact Belgrade would set aside funds to help Kosovo-Metohija Serbs living north and south of the Ibar River by creating hundreds of jobs was significant.
