Dacic meets with Chinese ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic met with Chinese Ambassador to Belgrade Chen Bo on Friday.

The parties said they were pleased with the exceptional Sino-Serbian relations and noted that the two sides were strongly committed to further strengthening of overall cooperation, based on a comprehensive strategic partnership and a steely friendship, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia said in a statement.

They expressed interest in further stepping up of political dialogue and exchanges of visits at high and the highest level, as well as in further advancement of economic and investment cooperation, with special emphasis on a soonest possible signing of a FTA.

Dacic again expressed great gratitude to friendly China for its respect of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and, at the same time, noted Serbia's consistent support to the One China policy and the One Country, Two Systems principle.

The parties also discussed further strengthening of the two countries' excellent cooperation in the multilateral arena.
