BRUSSELS - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels on Tuesday to discuss current topics, including mechanisms for de-escalating violence in Kosovo-Metohija.

"Meeting with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and discussions on current topics, including mechanisms for de-escalating violence in Kosovo, the development plan for the Western Balkans, and the importance of deepening Serbia's integration into the EU," Brnabic wrote in a post on her official Twitter account.

Earlier in the day, Brnabic met with EU Commissioner for the Economy Paolo Gentiloni, Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi and European Council President Charles Michel.

In a separate Twitter post, she said the meeting with Gentiloni had addressed the macroeconomic situation in Europe and its impact on Serbia.

"We also discussed our economic progress and the capital projects we are implementing," she added.

While in Brussels, Brnabic will also attend a panel discussion on Serbia's EU future, hosted by the Euractiv Serbia media platform.
