Dacic: Hungary will not allow sanctions to be imposed on Serbia

GENEVA - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said in Geneva on Monday evening his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto had conveyed to him a message from PM Viktor Orban that there were growing demands from those supporting Pristina's calls for imposing sanctions against Serbia but that Hungary would definitely not allow that to happen.

"I will convey that, once again, also to President Aleksandar Vucic as well as to the public. It is good news for us and suggests that the friendship forged between Hungary and Serbia has been transformed into mutual trust and support," said Dacic, who met with Szijjarto on the sidelines of a UNHCR Executive Committee session.

He said the discussion with Szijjarto had been dominated by two topics - Serb refugees and displaced persons and the issue of illegal migrants.
