Dacic receives new UAE ambassador to Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic received a courtesy visit from the UAE's newly-appointed ambassador to Belgrade, Ahmed Hatem Barghash Almenhali, on Tuesday.

Cordially welcoming the ambassador, Dacic wished him success during his tenure and a pleasant stay in Serbia.

Dacic said he believed that, though his work and personal dedication, Almenhali would help strengthen further the comprehensive strategic partnership and friendship between Serbia and the UAE, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

The parties expressed mutual readiness to further strengthen all forms of cooperation between Serbia and the UAE, especially in the economy.

Thanking Dacic for the warm welcome, Almenhali said he was honoured to be serving as ambassador in friendly Serbia.

He said he stood ready to invest personal efforts to further strengthen overall bilateral cooperation.
