BRUSSELS - EU spokesperson Peter Stano said Monday's high-level meeting of the Brussels dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina would not be the only or the last one.
At a press briefing, Stano said the leaders of Serbia and Kosovo were "trying to move step by step to solve all outstanding issues leading to a comprehensive agreement on the normalisation of the relations."
He said the EU expected both sides to demonstrate "European behaviour that allows them to find the necessary political strength, courage, readiness for a European compromise in the interest of their own people and in the interest of the EU perspective and EU future of Kosovo and Serbia."
He confirmed the dialogue would begin with bilateral meetings with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Pristina's PM Albin Kurti and that a trilateral meeting would be held afterwards.
He said Monday's round of the dialogue should be concluded later in the afternoon or in the evening.
He noted that, nevertheless, the experience from previous meetings suggested there should be no attempts to make predictions, and added that everything depended on Vucic's and Kurti's ability.
