BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic received Eswatini FM Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu in Belgrade on Thursday.
The parties agreed there were no outstanding issues in bilateral political relations, which they said were characterised by a decades-long friendship.
They agreed parliamentary cooperation was also an important segment in which the relations could be strengthened and stepped up and expressed readiness to develop the cooperation further, an official statement said.
They also agreed there was potential to advance cooperation in areas such as the economy, agriculture and the ICT sector.
Brnabic said the current Serbian parliament, too, would have a Serbia-Eswatini friendship group.
She said she was glad many students from Eswatini were showing interest in the World in Serbia programme or studying in Serbia, and added that Serbia would continue to support Eswatini in that way.
Brnabic also said Serbia would provide full assistance to Eswatini's efforts to present itself at the specialised EXPO 2027 in Belgrade in the best possible way.
Congratulating Brnabic on assuming her new post, Dlamini-Shakantu noted it was encouraging that more and more women were becoming decision-makers.
