Brnabic meets with ACEBA representatives

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with representatives of the American-Central European Business Association (ACEBA) on Wednesday to discuss opportunities for advancement of cooperation and new investments.

Besides ACEBA President Eric Stewart and other representatives of the association, the meeting was also attended by representatives of 16 US companies, the Serbian government said in a statement.

Brnabic noted that the US was one of the largest foreign investors in Serbia and that bilateral economic ties had been on an upward trajectory over the past decade but that there were opportunities for new investments and advancement of trade between the two countries.

Brnabic informed the representatives of her government's priorities, noting that energy, business, agriculture, health care, infrastructure and IT were the key sectors.

Brnabic also presented Serbia's economic, technological and investment potentials.

We must focus on development of artificial intelligence applicable in various fields, from health care to the automotive industry, she said.

She said Serbia had an interest in developing economic cooperation with ACEBA members that would occupy an important place in its dialogue with the US.

Serbia will continue to work successfully on advancement of bilateral relations, she said.

Presenting opportunities for cooperation to Brnabic, the company representatives expressed interest in sectors suitable for investments, in business conditions and, especially, the potentials and prospects of Serbia and the region as a whole, as well as in marketing of products in countries Serbia has signed FTAs with.

ACEBA is a leading US business association focusing on cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries.
